On 3 September 2019, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) launched public consultation for the 22nd update of the REACH Candidate List. The public consultation will end on 18 October 2019.

Four (4) substances were proposed. If all of the proposed substances are identified as substances of very high concern (SVHCs), the total number of SVHCs listed on the Candidate List will increase from 201 to 205 in December 2019 or January 2020.
